Accessibility Statement

Last assessed: 14 April 2026 · Next review: 3 April 2027

DORSET CREATIVE LTD is committed to making the Threadsovereign Platform accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

1. Current Compliance Status

Partial compliance: The Threadsovereign Platform is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to address the known issues listed below. Some parts of the Platform may not yet fully meet the standard.

This statement was prepared through a combination of self-assessment by the development team and automated testing using browser-based accessibility tooling.

AX-01 and AX-02 controls are validated as PASS in staging evidence (`BSA_2022_VALIDATION_CHECKLIST.md`, `BSA_2022_EVIDENCE_TRACKER.md`). The known issues below are residual gaps tracked for ongoing remediation and do not change that staging validation outcome.

We have implemented the following accessibility features across the Platform:

  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the application
  • Screen reader-compatible form labels and error messages
  • ARIA roles and attributes on interactive components
  • Sufficient colour contrast for primary text and interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Semantic HTML with logical heading hierarchy (one H1 per page)
  • Skip-to-content link available via keyboard navigation
  • All navigation landmarks labelled with aria-label
  • Status badges include text labels (not colour-only indicators)
  • Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion
  • Pages have unique, descriptive title elements

2. Known Accessibility Issues

We are aware of the following gaps that have not yet been fully resolved. They are listed in priority order.

Kanban board — keyboard drag-and-drop

In progress

The task kanban board uses mouse-based drag-and-drop. Users who cannot use a mouse do not currently have a keyboard alternative to move cards between columns.
Workaround: Tasks can be reassigned to different statuses using the task detail view, which is fully keyboard accessible.
Target resolution: Q3 2026

Risk matrix — colour-only indicators

Priority

The risk score matrix uses colour (red/amber/green) as the primary indicator of risk level. Numeric scores are shown in tooltips but may not be announced by all screen readers.
Workaround: Risk scores are always shown as numeric values alongside colour indicators.
Target resolution: Q2 2026

PDF documents — accessibility tags

In progress

PDFs generated by the Platform (Gateway submission summaries, handover packages) are not currently tagged PDFs, which means they may not be fully accessible to screen reader users.
Target resolution: Q3 2026

Analytics charts — text alternatives

In progress

Some analytics views do not yet provide complete text alternatives or accompanying data tables for all chart outputs. Users relying on screen readers may not be able to access every underlying data point in these views.
Target resolution: Q2 2026

Amber colour contrast — text on amber backgrounds

Priority

The amber warning colour (#F59E0B) used for some status badges may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio when used with white text. We are reviewing all amber/white text combinations to ensure AA compliance.
Target resolution: Q2 2026

3. Technical Information

The Threadsovereign Platform relies on the following technologies for conformance:

  • HTML5 with semantic elements
  • CSS (Tailwind CSS v4)
  • JavaScript / TypeScript (React / Next.js)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2

The Platform has been tested with the following combinations:

  • NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
  • VoiceOver + Safari (macOS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation (Windows, Chrome and Firefox)
  • Chrome browser accessibility DevTools

4. What We Are Doing to Improve

We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvement:

  • Accessibility testing is part of our development process for all new features
  • We review the known issues list quarterly and prioritise fixes by severity
  • We are working towards a full WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit by an independent accessibility specialist in Q4 2026
  • We will commission a formal accessibility audit from a qualified provider before our next major release
We welcome feedback on accessibility issues. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — it helps us prioritise the right fixes.
